MPs, first board of the day.

None vul, you (Dealer) are North

Assuming no special gadgets (but your side plays weak 2 bids in 3 suits, if it matters).

Is this a definite open? A definite pass? Or borderline

1 for me; 65 I don't think you stay alive by passing.

I can play a weak 2 with this shape and resolve the 65, but the 11hcp reduces the likelihood of finding .

I think this is a clear 1 opening. It can backfire, but passing with this shape and strength is way worse.

1D “wtp”
If I’m nervous at opening this I best make sure that I can continue bidding and show this shape, opening 1S distorts the hand.

You didn't include 2 as a possibility.

Stuck? what's wrong with 2D, if 2S would show show extras.

Is this some sort of Multi mutation?

I think that sorely missed nige1 would rate
1) 1
2) 1
3) Pass
4) 2

1, I hate to enter the auction late. I want them to make the last guess.

So, when you opened 1d, how did it go? 1d-3n-4s-5c-(X)-?

Or how about when you opened 1s, and it goes; 1s-2h-3d-3n-?

I don't think 1-3NT exists. But if you want to use it, it probably shows 3=3=3=4 12-15 or so. The big double fit is surprising, but pulling to spades seems good.

What was the actual auction? I'm expecting interference.

It was actually the bot that opened 1. Upon seeing the dummy, I wondered if I would have opened.
A few moments later I was sure that I would; then after the set was complete, I wasn't so sure anymore. My key issue is/was that the singleton K does not count for much. I reckon everyone would have opened if (instead of the K) we held a Q

So I thought I'll share it here and see how the poll response goes. :)

The BOTs bidding isn't so bad after all

If the X is 4+ why rebid rather than show support?
