If you just bid 4 it'll continue with a 4 cuebid after which you can take over.. it's not going to understand when you make unexpected responses. Though amusingly, it does treat 4N over 4 as RKCB for hearts.

[Edit - ha, didn't even notice this wasn't close to a 1nt opener. Better point made below..]

The bot already decided it is not going to go to slam against a 15-17 NT opening Texas specifically denies interest, with slam interest it bids 2 first.

Had you opened 1 planning to rebid 2NT (Your hand is way too strong for 1NT, not just because you have 18HCP but also because of a 5 card and also because of many aces) you probably would have gotten to slam.

In normal expertish bidding, responder will jump to the 4 level for a Texas transfer, and then follow up with a 4NT RKC Blackwood bid. If you make a simple Jacoby transfer at the 2 level and then jump to 4NT that is treated as an invitational NT bid with the major already shown by transfer.

Maybe smerriman knows if North was going to sign off by passing or bid 4NT after making the Texas transfer.

How are you planning to make slam opposite a typical 10 total point hand (includes distribution), even with your oversized 1NT opener?

Dare I suggest either
1 - don't downgrade that hand. Bid 2NT - sorry you are NV against V so is a reasonable thing
2 - bit 1 heart

EDIT. I tested these options out in Bidding table. 2NT you end up in 7 hearts, 1H you end in 6 hearts :)
I think another bidding engine ended in 6NT, not sure about 7NT
