Isn't 3d forcing with or without the dbl?
I have no idea and hoped so but after 3 spades I stayed quiet
I have a recollection that it makes 5 on a finesse. Would have been happy with 3 or 4
I actually think it was not forcing and possibky undefined. Pass would have been ok
For me its meaning is clear
Sadly top score for South was passing the double

Even with 3♦ being forcing, 3♠ from the robot was dumb - you already showed you had no spades support, east's double tells us that spades most likely break badly, and it has good diamond support. 4♦ would have been the right bid. Even 5♦ with a slightly better hand and especially green against red, sacrificing against a potential 4♥ game, is not ouf of question. In this deal, 5♦ actually makes double-dummy due to the lucky breaks and honour positions.

Yeah, this is a total robot issue. 3♠ heavily implies a singleton diamond. I'm confused, but unlike smerriman, I don't care about the robot's foibles, I don't play with them often enough, and when I do, it's definitely for fun. So I am happy to remain confused.

I think 3d asks for a diamond lead and shows a raise to 3s - discourages a spade lead by partner should opps buy the contract. I too am not sure if gib plays this way.

True, if they play that, you have to redouble.
But I didn't think the bots played that.

I am not sure either.
If it does, it sure as heck should be explained to opponents (and to potential partners in the system notes, not here).
Was their really no explanation of 3D, despite the yellow box?
Maybe OP clicked Alert and failed to give an explanation... usually the system would have supplied the Gibberish explanation automatically.

Sadly 3D appeared rather undefined so I was hoping was natural and obvious - there is a rather useless label but can't remember what it says
