It's fairly simple, like it or not.
Anyone can open a table and any of them can remove anyone they want whyever they want, without having to give a reason or be held to account in any way.
BBO wash their hands of any responsibility and think this is the best possible solution.
The resulting behaviour is under your eyes.

Don't take it personally. A host has a multitude of reasons to remove a player.
A friend is online and they want the seat for him, a player got booted and they are reseating them, yes an explanation would be nice but manners seem to hold little importance in online games.
The host may have been trying to view your profile and clicked on "remove player" by mistake.
The host believes you play too fast, too slow, too well, too poorly, you don't play their system, you haven't completed your profile, they don't like the flag you are flying.
Move on to one of the other 10,000 or so players online

I don't know how others do it but my partner and I keep a blacklist of difficult players by adding an appropriate comment to their profile. Anyone sitting down with a banned tag just gets removed - it's not worth taking the time on such people. On the rare occasions I have played with pick-ups I have occasionally been removed myself, usually for asking about a call and daring to wait for an answer before bidding, or for thinking more than 5 seconds during the play. This is just how some prefer to run their tables. It's best to move on and find a partner and opponents you are compatible with. It's not like there is a shortage of options.

My preference is to use BBO only for tournaments and avoid tables altogether... but there are lots of ways to skin a cat, it depends a lot on how much f2f you also play and how much that gratifies/tires you.

In any case I strongly second your suggestion of keeping notes in profile, one of the few genial possibilities of BBO. Just be careful not to accidentally confuse it with chat

Haha Ooops

I don't play tournaments, I much prefer team games with known players.
I like the practice section of BBO. The bidding and teaching tables are very useful.
