idillia and I want to play again against JEC this weekend (we're practicing for San Diego), so we're just looking for one other pair.

We still need a pair, so if you have a partner, feel free.

George, you have a regular partner you want to play with? If not I can play too.

That and board 3 were pretty entertaining.

Forum won by 1 IMP, on a match that saw leadership change 5 times. We would have swung it back to them if George hadn't balanced on the last board, which was pushed with both tables sacrificing against a making 3.

On 3, JEC apparently psyched an opening 1 on a 4=4=3=2 8 count, and backed it up by rebidding 2. He caught Ilaria with a big fit there so they ended up in a hopeless game. I think we can make 5, but we were never going to bid beyond a part score.

Board 11 was also really lucky. I had to guess which ace to lead with absolutely nothing to go on.. If I'd led the other one, 3x would have made. And it didn't get much easier after that. When I played K, Mila played the 9 and Jimmy the 7. We were playing UDCA, so the 9 looks discouraging, maybe she wanted me to give her a ruff in a minor. But I went with my gut. GIB says that my defense should have only gotten him down 1 (I actually needed to lead the J first, but Jimmy misplayed and went down 2 anyway.
