W/W IMPs, but comments on format/strength of field welcome
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

I would certainly prefer to be in 6, since I don't see myself finding the spade fit 
Anyway, I think 6S is better than 7S, and it's not close. We need spades to be 3-2, and then either the ♣J coming down, or a not so likely squeeze (♥K and ♣Jxxx with East). In 7S by North you may get some help with the lead, but that's also unlikely.

Always play in the safest contract at the slam level.As a final contract 6♠ is germane because we must guard against adverse distribution.

Any grand looks well against the odds.
I do not seen what the attraction of notrump are here, particularly at IMPs.
Even at matchpoints chances that you will end up making a trick more in spades look good.

OK,
1♣ = 15+ nat/bal or 18+ any
... - 1♦ = most non-GF
1♥ = 18-20 any or 23+ bal
... - 1♠ = relay
2NT = 23-24 bal
... - 3♣ = Puppet Stayman
3♠ = 5 spades
... - 4♥ = agrees spades, SI
4NT = accepts slam try, 1 or 4 key cards
... - 5♣ = ♠Q?

6♠ for sure. Odds associated with a grand slam depend obviously on the percentage of the time you can make it, but also on the chances that (some of) the opponents will fail to bid the high percentage small slam. In this example, you may think that bidding six is easy, but your HCP total is (as I recall) 31. Even in a tough field, some are likely to lose their way. The percentage contract is 6♠.
