I bid 1H since it is very harder to say whom final contract belong to .

1 followed by 4 shows my defensive values and suit length. The downside is this might get the opponents to a spade fit. That risk seems small as haven't shown up in the first 4 calls...so let's believe they ar 4-4-4-1 around the table...

I bid 1 because I doubt I can make 4 if partner can't support me somehow, and there's still a good chance I can buy the contract for less and get a plus.

I bid 4 , despite the fact that strength and suit quality screams 1 . But after 1 they have much too much space to find out about the spade and club situation.
Kind Regards

I bid 4H.

I don't feel like there are technical reasons for this bid, but its good to make opponents guess. South with five spades and a ten count may not want to risk bidding 4S, especially without diamond support. North with a minimum 4153 might not want to come back to the party opposite a passed hand. Lots of good things can happen when you make the opponents guess. Especially when the opponents have not yet discovered a fit.
