Hand #1

You are Vul, they are not, IMPs, second seat. RHO opens 2 in front of you.

Hand #2

Both Vul, IMPs, in first seat you open 1. LHO calls 3 which is passed back to you.
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it then how bad a decision could it really be?

1. You got some spades, so you can afford to pass. Then 4H over pard's dbl. If the void were in spades, you'd have to bid 3H.

2. Dbl seems clear. If pard bids some spades, I'll pull to clubs.
