Seems like north should take another call. Partner shouldn't be broke for his voluntary 3d bid, and you have invitational values and a diamond honor. I have trouble bidding 3NT with the south hand due to a lack of clubs and I don't want to hang partner for being a bit light.

Hi,

I think the auction is reasonable.

Both players hold maximum values for their bids,
and how the bidding went,
so it is hard to blame either North and South.

South has a (nice) min. opener with 6 diamonds,
but a void in partners suit,
North holds lots of Queens and a mediocrite stopper
in their suits. Take away one of Norths Queens,
and he would make the same bid.

Sometimes you happen to miss a game.

With kind regards
Marlowe
