4c not stopping short of slam. I hope partner has an opening bid. No problem yet.

Opening style matters an awful lot here.

If partner is fond of opening light with distributional hands then I'd bid a simple 3N and risk missing slam.

If partner favors a sound opening style, then 4 is a lot more attractive.

3NT.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I'd go 4C, good hand though.

I'll vote 3NT. Agree it's a close decision and good problem.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

This is a tough problem for us light openers.
I think it's very close between 3NT and 4.
At MP I'll tend to bid 3NT.
But at IMP's I'll make a try for slam, as it's possible to stop in 5. If partner rebids 4, I'll raise to 5.
Kind regards,
Harald

4c. Just a little too much juice to bid 3nt. Though 3nt is my second choice. Slam could easily be cold.
