Scoring: IMP

What is your bidding plan with this hand? Firstly, what do you open the bidding with? Nothing fancy like MisIry.

Scoring: IMP

Partner opens 1H. You're playing Bergen raises. What do you try here? 2NT (GF) or 3D (limit) are your obvious choices.

If you try 2NT, partner shows a club shortage. What now?

1. I rebid 1C, planning to reverse. I am not stopping short of game.

2. 1H-2NT-3C-4H.

1. 1 and then a lot of spades.

2. Right or wrong, I'll force to game on this since we are vul/IMPs. Good hand for an old-fashioned Swiss raise.

1) 2clubs, yes I know bidding 2clubs witha strong two suiter is illegal.
2) what is my openinghand style..if junky.....3d bergen. Not close to 2nt for me.

1. I use to open either 2 or 1 this sort of hand, but here there's a case for opening 1 because that allows pard to bid hearts, the key suit, cheaply.

2. 2NT wtp?

1. I am a strong believer of never open strong two suiters with 2 Club. But not in this hand. If my opponents have 17 of the missing HCPs and not much in Spade, they may not help me to bid out my hand pattern. And 1 Club +4 is no fun.
So this time I try 2 Club.

2. 2 NT wtp?
Kind Regards

Roland

Hi,

#1 1C, followed by repeated bids of spades
#2 limit raise, if I upgrade to a 2NT game
force, I will sign of with 4H, I have done
enough with 2NT
Over 3H from opener, I can still bid 4H.

With kind regards
Marlowe
