If we can find a 44 M after a cue then the bid is perfect. I doubt it is mainstream, though (a bit like inv minors with 4 cM).

I am not worried by a no majors hand opposite, as makes it less likely they bid a high number of C, partner will tend to have more C in that case. And I am definitely not frightened to support partner with KQJ to 6. The 3C cue does not solve everything since it promises no more than 4, I guess, while I have 6…

So what does partner do with his 3451/3361 if they raise to 4 or 5 clubs ?

Partner will remember that they have a partner and will therefore
not single headedly decide where we belong. Like we did when we decided not to hide our S suit.

With a min they can pass (and if partner leaves it in, like a min X with 8, we were probably not going very far), with extras they can X to show points but no clear actions, and hopefully their trusted partner will know how to handle this. The 3361 can always try a competitive 4D as on the bidding partner rates to have some D tolerance.

I do not see many cases where having told partner about our D fit (that we can always show later with that hand) gains much. Once in a while, we might end up in a hopeless 5D vs 5CX but we will score 4S= rather than 5D-1.
