I started with 3N, not sure if E gets into the auction.
3N-4♦ (singleton ask)
4♥-6♦
Why bid 6 ? well what is partner's shape ? If he has 8 diamonds 6 is cold
3172/3073 (most likely when I am 2-4 in the blacks) spade ruff for trick 12
Q♣ solid for 13
2173 slam is a touch better than a finesse and if partner has ♠Q a lot better.

I start with 3♠ as a Gambling 3N
Now 5N is; I can count 11 tricks not pick a slam
6N I have 8♦/outside King

Hi,
I would open 4D.
I can see East biding 4H.
Over that South will bid 6D.
You could argue, that 6D is not enough, start with 4NT, ...
but I am not sure my 4 sure tricks will be enough to be able
to count to 13, so keep it fast and simple.
With kind regards
Marlowe

This was not the auction I see.
Very difficult with no special agreements, I would bid 3nt and some partners may go on to find slam.
C'est la vie

Well I have no way of showing a hand I can't hold because I would open something else with it, hence 3N.
Absolutely, note this is posted in the "Natural Bidding Discussion" thread
just sayin

Where I live, everybody plays G3N as part of natural systems.
I don't want to derail the thread, but that is interesting. I think G3N was a short lived distraction here.
