I'm helping two beginners and I've set up some hands to use with them.. They are in .lin format and they are in my deal archive and fully visible in the required form. When I try to upload them as the deal source for a practice session, the files won't load

As an aside, every week I load the deal files for our club so I'm familiar with the process, hence can't fathom why it won't work for the practice table.
Help would be appreciated

I am not BBO support, but I've been playing with loading .lin files (converted from pbn from dealer scripts) recently.

My guess as a computer professional would be some sort of weird spacing issues.

Is there an example deal lin file (that worked) and teaching lin file (that doesn't) that you can upload somewhere? Note: copying them - especially copy-and-pasting them - here won't catch many of the kinds of errors I think might be in there; it has to be the whole file.

No experience of loading .lin files, but I did learn in the past that the related syntax is not precisely defined and BBO had it's own version, which IIRC also changed at some point.

The steps are:
Start a practice table.
From blue burger menu at the table select Deal Source.
Select Saved Deals.
Click on the folder you want to use, and at the top click on SELECT button. Close that Window.
Click REDEAL.
The first board from the folder should be now dealt to the table.
