BBO - Urgent complaint regarding unjustified prices increases

Dear BBO Executives,

I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the recurring price increases on your platform. As a retired individual, I have cherished the opportunity to use your application to improve my skills and enjoy the game of bridge, which has been a source of immense joy and connection.

However, the recent price hikes, in some cases reaching up to 50%, are becoming unmanageable. This sharp escalation seems to disregard the demographic of your primary user base—many of whom are senior citizens living on fixed incomes. It is disheartening to see a platform that has historically provided accessibility to a global community of bridge enthusiasts now potentially alienating a significant portion of its loyal users through these excessive price adjustments.

The reality is that many of us may soon be forced to leave, not by choice but by necessity, as these prices have simply become unaffordable. This not only erodes the goodwill you’ve built over the years but also diminishes the accessibility and inclusivity that your platform once stood for.

I urge you to reconsider these pricing policies and take into account the financial limitations of your dedicated user base. A prompt response to this matter would be greatly appreciated. I, along with countless others, hope that BBO remains a place where players of all backgrounds can come together to enjoy the game they love.

Sincerely,
Maurice (Maurice_IL)
A longtime, loyal customer who is on the verge of signing off

To be completely accurate, some of the recent price gouges were 100% (ie double the previous rates).

I am curious
What has gone up 50-100%?
I am seeing around 15% on the tourneys I play
But sometimes I wonder if the points I am playing for are worth it

And dare I offer a reasonably disniterested opinion
I think BBO provide a lot of very low to zero cost pleasure for many people
Some of us pay a bit

Sadly the people who pay are either people without 3 other partners or those who care about Robot points
I realise that could be taken the wrong way but that is how it is

EDIT I just tracked down on another question the Tourney that doubled in price - one I play from time to time. The gambler's tourney. Have they doubled the prizes? - EDIT apparently the prize pool is proportional. So many threads
It's a fun tourney but doubling the stake may put me out - believe it or not I occasionally got my dollar back

Dare I say, at risk of upsetting my country's feelings - that I already have to be be wary paying anything in more highly valued dollars

And I just had a thought while embarking on the new double priced Zenith, it still has reasonable number of hands per dollar and chance of your stake back :)
