Game keeps disconnecting While playing, program disconnects. Have to log on again to continue

While playing a casual game with friends out of town, the game keeps disconnecting. I have to log on again and the game continues where I left off. This problem just started about a month or two ago. We use verizon Fios. One computer is hard wired to the internet and the other computer uses wifi. Both computers have the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.

No way to know for sure. Previously I had the problem of too slow internet speed (so I had ATT fix it). Often I have seen BBO be unstable due to GIB or whatever.
using a VPN may make a difference (although mine by Bit Defender usually works fine.) My on-line partner encounters it from time to time for no apparent single reason although he thinks it is some app running in the background.
It may take some trial and error to improve so take lots of notes about what happens.
