Losing a 3-way match in the World Bridge Challenge is never fun, but seeing my opponents draw the last match so I basically lost by an IMP makes it worse.

So naturally I had a look at the match and the first board was this

A terrible missclick

No, and you could still have recovered one overtrick (an IMP?) by pitching the remaining diamond on K :)

I was not the player and South lost 2 Imp on this board, so even the extra overtrick would have seen me thru to the quarterfinals :-)

But that was just to make a story about the deal.

Undo is a difficult subject, but here was one, where it for me looks like a missclick, and I have a couple of my own in the bag:-)

It looks probable that she intended to discard 9 but hit A instead, playing on a touch screen with no effective confirm mechanism.
But those are her choices and actions, and she could not change her play if it was f2f and she pulled the wrong one of two adjacent cards.
The downsides of Undo are considerably greater than the dubious benefit of forgiving such mistakes, IMO.
Even after the misclick she could still have pitched 9 next trick, but failed to do so - a loss of concentration this time.
Would the Undo fans allow that too, or dump another guessing game on the TD, with unease and acrimony between players?
No Undo in tournaments I direct.

i don't think it is relevant weather it is a robot game or a human opp to allow undos.
Either allow them or don't.
