Hi,
since sept 30th, 2021 as soon as I click on "play bridge now" at the main page, I get the following message "could not load critical message. Please check your internet connection and try again".
This happen to me and to my partner too in the same day. Of course everything was perfectly working since the day before.
We both have a MacOS. We tried to update the OS and Safari to latest versions but nothing has changed.
We tried using a private connection but, unfortunately, nothing has changed again.
What could be the reason for this? any suggestion?
thanks Anna (italy)

Yes - seems to be just Mac users. I can't access Chrome or Safari on my old machine.

Try installing firefox as a temp workaround, then log in to BBO in firefox.

Nobody likes critical files.
It's bad enough when your partner complains.

I'm having the same problem with an Old MacOS machine running Safari 11.1.2 - I get "Could not load critical file." error. When I try Chrome , I get the same error, and it also says the server is not <not secure>https://www.bridgebase.com/v3/ - its like the security token for the server expired on 9.30.2021 and needs to be renewed. Access works on newer Macs, but no longer on the older machine.

So I found out the issue is my Mac is too old to maintain security certificates on its own - a specific certificate expired 9/30/2021.

If you want to learn about the issue, here an article: https://eclecticligh...-that-web-page/

If you're technically inclined or know someone who is... you can download the certificate from this site... https://letsencrypt.org/certificates/

Good luck. Best move may acquire a newer computer....

I am having the same problem on IPAD on version 9.3.5 . Have tried BBO support was advised to try using Firefox to get in but the ipad wont support the current version of firefox in the ap store . Was then advised to add BBO as a trusted site in safari Could not find a way to do this on my IPAD . Have searched and apparently one solution is to download the root certificate from Lets encrypt per some other comments . I have found the certificate but dont know how to get this onto the ipad . Any one else manage to download this or try this fix .
It is very frustrating as have spent hours trying to figure this out without much success . It is so much easier to play Bridge on the IPAD
Would appreciate any assistance .

As I mentioned in your other thread, iOS 9.3.5 doesn't provide the ability to manually install root certificates.
