2 seems clear. Partner can absolutely be 64xx on this auction.

Furthermore, partner can have as many as 17 points on this auction. Passing is too unilateral, 2 keeps the bidding open.

hmmm...2 it was. There was some discussion afterwards claiming passing 2 could be better to give declarer more ruffing ability in 's.

It could, depends on your agreements about how much partner needs for 3. If game is not going to be on, pass is not unreasonable.

AKxxx AKxxx Kx x: is this a jumpshift in your methods? It’s not, in mine, but give me the major suit 10’s and I’m tempted.

AKxxxx AKxx Kx x. Same issue.

So 2S is mandatory at imps, in order to allow partner another call. Heck, I’ve seen hands where his next bid, over 2S, is 3C. Not that I’m expecting that, lol. But AJxxx AKxx x KQx? How do you think that hand should be bid?

2 here. a hand where precision handle better than 2/1 as openers strength is limited. partner with honours in / could make 50/50 game opposite your 2 aces but will not be able to move after simple preference bid of 2

Almost, I could hardly criticize partner if did JS and of course I have a great hand if he does.
