I think I know what the problem is. Too many TPs for an overcall, but not enough HCPs for bidding again after the double. Make your mind up, GIB! Do Points Schmoint or not?

Obviously W robot should bid up to 4 instead of doubling.

Odd indeed - it bids 2 without the 2 bid, so it's not just a HCP/TP thing, but also bids 2 over 2 if you add 1 extra point anywhere. So does look like some sort of 'off by 1' issue to do with points when south interferes.

Do points even matter on such a hand? Apparently Gib is letting the Walrus is counting their points to decide what to do.
Gib needs a go wild function when distribution is more important.

What is East Gib doing?
It has a 6 card club suit where partner will have 3+ clubs or a big hand and you want to play in NT opposite shortness.

There is definitely a struggle getting freak hands to do anything intelligent. The struggle continues.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
