Disclaimer 1 - this happened in the BBF indy
Disclaimer 2 - I only ask out of interest, it's just a knock about tourny, I'm not fussed about the result

the first round passes are an error, west dealt and North opened 1s

It went Ace of diamonds small BIT 4

trick 2 heart switch

this is a pickup partnership - as I say I don't care and I know my bidding is insane but I wonder if there's any UI with the tank on the Ace of diamonds lead? Neither player made a note of their carding on their bbo profile

Thanks

no BIT at trick one from 3rd hand. Especially online where people get phone calls, go get a coffee, or get attacked by the house cat. next hand.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

West has two choices. Play east for the ace of hearts or play east for a singleton diamond. If east has a trump trick it doesn't matter what he does. If you have five diamonds you might of bid it.

Any decent player takes some time to think before playing in the first trick. So there's no UI. And I completely agree with you that your bidding is rather insane.
