North is consistently inconsistent in the way that it responds to South's strong bids. On the display hand, if South rebids 3♥ (16-18 total points, the old 3 or 6 bid)) North will cue bid. If, however, South rebids 4♥ (18-21 total points), North passes. If South rebids 2♠ (18-21 HCP), North bids 4♥ showing 7-10 total points (and as little as 6 HCP). If North opens 2♣ and, over North's 2NT, rebids 6♥ (24+ total points), North passes. But if South rebids 3♥ (23+ total points), North raises to 7. This is not bridge, this is a crap shoot.
And did you notice North's hand? In the same set North opened the bidding with ♠Q♥Q72♦K10752♣KQ53 (12 "total" points and 1.5 QT) and later accepted an invitation. But with a full 13 "total" points and 2 QT in support of South's 1♥ opening on this hand North underbids by responding 1NT.
