I have a suspicion that I know what is going on here, but it is largely guesswork and I would appreciate confirmation.
Either way it is undesirable behaviour by the software I think.

On numerous occasions when I drill down through MyHands via my web browser, when I click on the "traveller" link I get a message:

"invalid input, please use this page"

where the underlined passage is a hyperlink to the MyHands home search page.

An example traveller which (for me, at least) displays this phenomenon is:

http://online.bridge...rname=1EYEDJACK

My suspicion of the cause of this is that the hand may have been part of an "Instant Tournament", and BBO tries to shove these hands into the MyHands history but has some indigestion in doing so.

If this is correct, then I applaud that the result gets logged in MyHands, but perhaps when clicking on the traveller, unless and until it is possible to view the entire traveller it would perhaps be more helpful if it displayed a more meaningful error message.

Where are you getting that link from? The correct address for myhands is www.bridgebase.com/myhands, not online.bridgebase.com/myhands. That's an obsolete version that doesn't know about instant tournaments.

We've made online.bridgebase.com/myhands redirect to www.bridgebase.com/myhands, so this shouldn't be a problem any more.
