What call do you make? What plan? All input as to how to handle this hand or useful agreements welcome

EXTRA CREDIT: If you feel that uisng a weak NT impacts how to respond please comment. For the record I know the opener will only be 5332 if holding 17-20 points, i.e. he is most likely unbalanced.

You could play Transfer Responses in this situation, but even playing Transfer,
you would need a lower bound, what is the minimal strength req.

See if partner can reopen.

Looks like a double to me, correcting 3♣ to 3♦.

Incidentally, I like Lebensohl in this particular situation, in which case you would show this hand with 2NT (basically the same except less potential for misunderstandings and disaster.)

I would pass, I would hate to play 4 ♠ opposite AKxxx,x,xx,AKQxx - and partner would not bid just 3 ♣ with this hand, would he?

Playing Lebensohl, I would be happy. Oh wait, I play a form of good/bad 2 NT, so I am a happy 2 NT bidder too. :)

I am of the opinion that when playing a weak NT, your agreements should be that your 3♦ bid is constructive but nonforcing. In that case, this hand barely qualifies white vs red.

It seems an obvious pass. You don't have the values to make any bid & will encourage partner to bid a non-making contract if you did bid.

I am a big fan of using 2N as good/bad or otherwise artificial in many situations. This isn't one of those for us ---First response with NT invite values is just too possible.

If that Heart Queen were anywhere else, we would be comfortable doubling and correcting with that 7-bagger. As it is, we have KQ 7th and out, and as flat as we can be with a 7 card suit, so we PASS and see if opportunity knocks later.

Unless you play any particular methods to show a weak hand with a long diamond suit, you have to pass
