Hi

When I play online (on BBO let's say) which way of viewing hands do you recommend? Regular viewing where you see cards in a classical fashion, or viewing where you only see four tables and numbers/letters representing the cards? You know what I mean.

I am not really used to either one of them, so which one should I make a habit of? Does it have any advantes to use those bridge-tables? What do advanced players use? Tables or cards?

Thanks

The only material difference is if you are trying to win (for cash) the robot races or robot bingo where it's advantageous to play the hands as fast as possible. The playing without animations in the simple view is better because it's a bit faster.

Other than that, it doesn't matter.

But won't playing those tables with numbers/letters confuse me when I switch to playing real cards with real people?

That's why I use the card view when just playing bridge.

Is this a serious question? Playing cards have the same letters and numbers as the hand diagrams.

Try both and see which you find more comfortable. I found it impossible to play in the hand view but like the diagram view very much. You also get (imho) fewer misclicks with the diagram view since there is a slightly larger margin of error in where you click. Most people seem to prefer the hand view though. It has no bearing on face to face play which you use on BBO.

I like diagram mode more because it looks more like the forums :)
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Yeah by using diagram mode you don't get confused when it really matters, i.e. when posting here.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.
