What's your plan here. (3H would be stopper ask, and no leaping Michael's available)

If you double, what do you do when the auction goes (2H)-X-(4H)-P-(P)
If you overcall 2S, the auction goes (2H)-2S-(P)-3S

I'll post part 2 of this tomorrow night :)

edit: IMPs scoring.

I would double and double again, I would be happy to play 4 doubled at this vulnerability if partner can't find a bid and I would pass anything that partner might bid except 4nt, which I would bid 5 over.

If they make, then partner has nothing and we lost a few imps for doubling a cold game.

I totally agree with this.

Be that as it may, I think I'll still bid 3, then see what happens. If partner bids 3NT, I'll leave it in, it should have chances. What's the worst that can happen, white v red? B-)

I bid my suits, starting with 2.

Over 3 4m would be a cuebid, however I will bid 4. Partner will realice I cannot have lack of control on both minors, and hence I must have my worries somewhere else than the controls IE trumps.

I will bid my suits too. I do not know, what 3 shows for you and your partner, with mine I have to settle for game, no thoughts about slam...
If 3 could be AQxx, xxxx,Kx,xxx, I may make a stronger move with 4 Club as a control bid. Besides good trumps I am interessted in a Diamond control too.
Kind Regards

I find it strange that LHO bids 4H over dbl, but not over 2S. My guess is he has spades!!

Anyway, skipping that inference and having no michaels, I'll try 2S and raise pard to game. Hopefully I'll draw the inference that LHO has spades from his interest in the auction LOL.

I didn´t read the douling part, sad that LHO failed to raise because I based my bid partly on LHO´s silence, I hoped that even if partner had 3 low diamonds he could be 4432 and one could be pitched on clubs.
