Profiles-seem to lack something somewhat important, but with
due respect to Sayc/sayc2/1/Acol..
no one states anything-assuming standard leads? which as an aside
is somewhat confusing on occasions,,,Discards???
leads example defending a n/t contract or suit contract
what does the 7 of a suit indicate non bid suit? K10874 or K8762.
There is a rule of 11 in existance -or has that gone out the window.
There is MUD from 3/4/5/ small.,.
now touching on Discards.......low card suggesting that suit,
or a high discard suggesting NO HELP??
defence is more important than just tossing out cards.
at the same time there are many widgets available, but surely
for advanced+ players.
what do they teach SAYC players..low on leads encoraging.
and low discards also encouraging???
comments please...
as an aside someone raised this topic Carding in the advanced section,
involving defence of a slam at trick 8.the suggestions are unbelievable,
my head was spinning........ such a waste of Brain Power.

Pirate oh Pirate. Carding is not part of a taught system, but is a discrete entity.

If there's nothing about it in the profile, it's probably safe to assume standard leads, signals, and discards. For US players, this means 4th best leads from long suits, and high encourages. I'm not sure what's the most common with 3 small, probably MUD for novices.
And for someone looking for clarity, how about making the subject line of your post reflect the subject matter, instead of a generic expression? "Why oh why" could be about anything.
