Scoring: MP

2 - (3) - ?

First time partner, no special agreements. Playing standardish 2/1 methods. If you pass to show values, partner will X.

4H michaels. With a three suiter I would pass and cuebid if partner Xed or bid 3N.

I agree.

I'm posting because this made me think. Over 2-2, or any other two-level interference, would you also use systems on as if Responder's RHO opened? Meaning, jumps. seems to make sense to me.

E.g., 2-(2)-4minor as that minor and hearts. Leaping Michaels and all.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

I like the idea of playing "system on" after 2/3 level overcalls of 2. I'd be a little bit worried about pre-empting partner, however, despite showing these types of hand well.

Whatever 4H means, do you think it is forcing? :)

In the absense of discussion, I would have assumed 3-suited (and forcing).

I have played it as psyche-exposing, forcing as far as 4NT.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
