1nt.

In my book "real light" means something like:

KJ10xx
Axx
xxx
xx

So we could be in trouble already, but at least 1nt gets us to the right denomination.

To me it looks like you have given the vulnerability as us being vul, them NV. But your comments imply that we are NV and they are vul.

If they are vul and we are NV I would bid 1N.
If they are NV and we are vul I would bid 2N.

Get NT in before they 'see' clubs is not a good lead.

I hate second-seat weak one-level spade overcalls. Bid 2.

But, you don't agree with me and play 1 as weak. So, what to do with this hand? Ugly. 1NT works. I hope partner must bid again if he would have opened.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

Seems good to me.
