I wonder if it is possible that you play 7S and can ruff a club in dummy, there is no dummy reversal (so the club ruff gains your 12th trick), but you can only make 7 on a squeeze if you don't ruff the club (the squeeze doesn't wotk if you ruff the club)?

Is this supposed to make sense without a hand diagram?

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

This was the hand that was discussed. Lead was a small . I didn't think over it, but I was told that you can only make 7 if you don't ruff a and that did sound very strange to me....even after too many beers  (that's why I'll have to wait to verify more tomorrow)
BTW: LHO has all important cards (Kxxx, K, Q)

If nobody has a singleton club, and LHO has the red kings, then 7 is cold by ruffing a club and squeezing LHO in hearts and diamonds.

..ok, seemed more logic to me. will verify tomorrow
Does it also work if you do the finesse early in the play?

Thanks, interesting!
I guess this is only possible in case the ruff would create entry problems.

Scoring: Rubber

Here is another hand where go down if you ruff a or even if opponents lead a . 7 by South (on a non- lead)
