My partner bid 2♣ with 11 HCP and 4♠.
At this point, I felt a bit squeamish and tried to cop out at 2NT by bidding 2♦.
Too late; North was overwhelmed with confidence and went straight to 3NT.
West led the ♥J - clearly a singleton, so I marked West for the ♠A and East for everything else.
Things got off to a reasonable start.
